When I was little my father took me to a family reunion at my great uncle's house. Honestly, I don't recall him being all that great, but people still refer to him as such, so I must have missed something. There were many people there I didn't know, and probably haven't seen since. They didn't leave much of an impression, so I may have bumped into them later in life and not even realized it.
The thing I do remember was the house itself. Up until that point in my short life, I had never been in a house that large and elaborately decorated. It was very old and had accumulated a wide variety of artwork and antiques in it's history. Appare
"Symptoms of acute alcohol withdrawal vary greatly depending on the individual. The most common symptoms can be divided into two categories: physical and mental/emotional. The physical impairments include nausea, headaches, tremors, and cold sweats, while the mental are characterized by depression, anxiety, memory laps, inability to think clearly, emotional overreactions, and general problems managing stress. More severe cases include hallucinations and seizures, some of which could become life threatening." Spike sighed as he closed the hefty medical textbook. He placed the book on the table and walked over to the purple unicorn
A Luna X Celestia Shipping Story
"You see, Spike, what most ponies don't know is that, while the Princess raises the sun and the moon day after day and night after night, the two celestial bodies don't actually move in the exact same position in the sky." Twilight flipped through the heavy book on the table in front of her.
"Ah, here we go. You see, in order to keep this world in balance both the sun and the moon shift positions ever slightly from the last time they rose up. It's so small that you wouldn't be able to tell it was happening, unless you took a picture of the rising sun and compared it to where it had risen d

There was a Fire - part two
It had been a little over forty hours since the fire had first been reported. Since that time heroes had been made and family tragedies had been incurred. The blaze had finally been successfully snuffed out, but only after considerable cost.
The mayor of Ponyville sat at her desk, looking across at the towering stacks of invoices, requisitions, injunctions, petitions, and various other paperwork that would comprise the majority of her duties for at least the ne

There was a Fire - part one
Applejack enjoyed the quiet routine of her morning chores. It was the time of day just before the sun began to show between the mountain peaks and the dew still hung cool in the air. This day carried with it the hush that so often came with the solitude of the early morning. She took comfort in the knowledge that her family were some of the first to rise in Ponyville. The first to rise meant they had the first opportunities to tackle the day.

From the Journal of Jason Houston
Jason liked My Little Pony. He always had. When he was a kid he would sit and watch the adventures of Sundance, Wind whistler, and Firefly, and imagine himself there sharing in the fun and excitement. He liked it so much that he begged his parents for the pony toys for his birthday. His father was a little concerned, but since there had been no other requests for gifts, Jason got ponies.
It took up until his second year of grade school before Jason realized that being a boy and liking ponies was apparently something shameful. He considered this for a time, and decided he would have to hide his hobby. He wasn't an outcast or a

What do Nightmares Foretell?
The air hung heavy in the loft of the library. The covers of Twilight Sparkle's bed lay in a crumpled mess on the floor. As the night began to fade into dawn, her throws became more kinetic. She thrashed one final time and lay still. Softly her whimpering voice mumbled through the room, only allowing a few barely audible syllables to escape her lips. In the last few minutes of her slumber a heavy sweat had broken out over her entire body, and her facial features began to scrunch in distress.
Her body shiv
Rainbow Dash landed softly on the grass near the picnic spread, flaring her wings wide and turning to cast her profile against the rays of the afternoon sun. "Well? Am I awesome or am I SUPER awesome?"
Fluttershy and Twilight looked up from their sandwiches, a look of surprise painted on their faces at their friend's arrival. They turned to exchange a short glance with one another, and Fluttershy was the first to speak. "Um yes, I enjoyed it."
"Really? What did you enjoy best about it?" Rainbow leaned in toward the timid yellow pony. "Go on. Tell me how cool it was!" Her smile nearly beamed off her face as she
"What was that?" The teacup levitated back onto the white ceramic saucer on a nearby table. "I'm sorry Twilight, would you repeat that?" The white alicorn turned her gaze directly at the increasingly nervous looking little unicorn sitting on a nearby red plush pillow.
The extra attention served to cause more distress than Twilight would have liked. "But Princess, I didn't say anything."
"No, not yet. But you will. I can read your intent, and I recognize its direction.
"Dusky Robes, you have been found guilty of multiple counts of treason against your Princess and Her kingdom. The perversions you have brought into the realm of unicorn magic have created crimes against the natural law too numerous to name. Your irresponsible actions have threatened this kingdom and all the creatures of this world, and you have shown no remorse for the destruction and injuries you have caused."
"Know that I do not enjoy doing this. You are one of the finest students I've ever instructed, and you were my friend.
